Wing coasters look better than they ride

Started by woodieStan on Jun 21, 2026 4:10 AM

Not saying they are bad. I just think the near misses and visuals are usually better than the forces.

That holding brake is still one of the best crowd pleasers in any park. People scream before anything even happens.

Front row for views, back row for drops. Middle row is for when the grouper hates you.

I still love boomerangs when they run decent. They are simple but the backwards part gets GP every time.

You guys confuse painful with intense. Those are not the same thing.

A little roughness is fine. jackhammering is not personality, its just bad maintenance.

No way Magnum is better than most gigas. Its historically important but come on now.

People clown on clones but a good clone is better than a weird custom layout that does nothing.

Unpopular opinion but I would take a good family launch coaster over a rough looping coaster every day.

Quoting the last point: no, thats exactly the thoosie brain rot I mean. The ops can change the whole day too. A slow crew makes even a great coaster feel worse cause your already irritated.

I wish more parks bought Extreme Spinners but I bet capacity and cost scare them off. Also sorry but that take is wild.

Hard disagree. If a ride has no strong moment after the drop then I am not putting it top tier. I know folks wont like that but whatever.

The Smiler is messy in a good way. I dont need it to be elegant, I need it to be weird.
